Leonardo is deeply compassionate and carries the weight of providing for his family while navigating a new country where he doesn't speak the language. As he slowly builds a new life and finds an unexpected romance, he is forced to confront the emotional cost of being an immigrant in modern-day America. Must be fluent in Spanish. Includes one brief shirtless scene (non-nude).

Kind-hearted, witty, and emotionally intelligent, Camila works at her family's mercado, where she meets Leonardo shortly after his arrival. Drawn to his determination, she becomes the first person to make him feel at home. Must be fluent in Spanish.
Synopsis
"A Distancia," a Spanish-language dramatic short film. Synopsis: After his father is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, Leonardo leaves his hometown in Mexico to search for work in the United States. As he struggles to survive in a new country while supporting his family from afar, he discovers unexpected friendship, love, and the emotional cost of chasing a better future.
